CAS WGS Glow Big Red 2021

Help support Women’s and Gender Studies and GLOW ALL IN

Date: Time: 12:00 pm–12:00 pm
Contact: Glow Big Red WGS, (800) 432-3216,
The Women’s and Gender Studies Program promotes interdisciplinary research, teaching, and public engagement that critically examines women, gender, and sexuality from local to global contexts. Our award-winning faculty engage with present day issues including sexual assault and Title IX, women’s rhetoric and the #metoo movement, representations of fetal imagery and reproductive politics, religious freedom laws and the LGBTQ community. Our personalized learning environment introduces students to feminist theories and fosters innovative research in small, collaborative learning communities. We prepare our students to excel in a wide variety of careers — ranging from healthcare to international relations, education to social work. Our students go on to graduate, law, and medical school. They publish and teach, lead, and inspire.

Your donation to the WGS Development Fund will be used to give our students critical experiences outside of the classroom, such as presenting at our annual No Limits student research conference, interacting with national scholars at our Annual WGS Lecture, and traveling to regional and national conferences. Your donation will also provide financial support and intellectual recognition through student scholarships/awards.

It’s time to Glow All In for Glow Big Red — 24 Hours of Husker Giving! From noon to noon on Feb. 17 and 18, Huskers near and far are encouraged to give back to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

You can help in two ways:

1. Make your gift now to the area of your choice.

2. Share this page and your support on social media with the hashtag #glowbigred.

And, if you make gifts totaling $60 or more, you’ll receive a cozy Nebraska scarf in thanks for your support of Glow Big Red!
