Join the Office of Research and Economic Development for the March Faculty Connector. “The Benefits of Becoming a Proposal Reviewer,” Panel Discussion will feature: Michelle Hughes, Special Education and Communication Disorders; Andrew Jewell, Digital Research in Humanities and English; and Xu Li, Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Serving as a proposal reviewer is one of the best ways to improve your own grant-writing skills. The opportunity to read and evaluate proposals, particularly to programs to which you’re interested in applying in the future, can provide insight into what makes a successful proposal (and what does not). Hear from a panel of UNL faculty who will talk about their experiences and lessons learned through the process of serving as proposal reviewers. For those interested in volunteering to serve on a review panel, we will also provide an overview of the various agency-specific avenues to apply to be a reviewer.
The Faculty Connectors are designed to be an opportunity for learning and connection with peers in an informal setting. Each month features a different topic and engagement opportunity.
This event is open to faculty and post docs.
