Join us as José Francisco García presents a historical and contemporary perspective on almost 500 years of the Mexican-American presence in Nebraska and the Great Plains, from early Spanish conquistadors and explorers to later years’ traders, settlers, and immigrants.

Following the lecture, stay for refreshments and live music as we celebrate Linda Rivera García’s solo exhibition “Chicanisma,” on view through September 22. The lecture is 4:30-5:30 p.m. and the reception is 5:30-7 p.m.
