DESCRIPTION:Specialty crop producers in Nebraska are invited to learn about
  new budgeting features in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Agricult
 ural Budget Calculator program and share their expertise and needs during 
 a focus group session in Lincoln from 3 to 4\:30 p.m. on Aug. 11\, at the 
 office of Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County\, 444 Cherrycreek Road\, 
 Suite A.\n\nDeveloped by the university’s Center for Agricultural Profit
 ability\, the free Agricultural Budget Calculator Program (ABC) is a web-b
 ased tool for users to build enterprise budgets\, analyze costs and make m
 ore informed financial decisions for their business. The program is widely
  used by grain and livestock producers across the region and is now being 
 tailored to meet the unique need of specialty crop growers. \n\n“We’re
  glad to bring budgeting functionality for specialty crops to ABC to help 
 those businesses understand their costs of production and better grasp the
 ir financial situation\,” said Glennis McClure\, an extension educator w
 ho leads development efforts for the program. “This focus group is an op
 portunity for us to demonstrate the user-friendly and powerful program whi
 le hearing from specialty crop producers about their specific needs that w
 e can help address.”\n\nThe session will include Nebraska Extension educ
 ators who will demonstrate the Ag Budget Calculator and discuss new sample
  budgets for commonly grown specialty crops in Nebraska. Specialty crop pr
 oducers are encouraged to offer their feedback and help extension educator
 s understand how to best develop the ABC program to meet their needs. \n\n
 The session is free to attend\, but an RSVP is requested by Aug. 8. If you
