Sometimes it takes years to verify or find a critical fact like the birthplace or birth parents of an ancestor. Joan Barnes, Communications Librarian, recently experienced a major breakthrough in her research on her great-great-grandfather, a Nebraska Plainsman courtesy of familysearch.org’s labs.
Join her for this Genealogy over Lunch session on Zoom, April 17 at 11:30 a.m., where she discusses the search for Lewis Phillips, his interesting life, the resources used and the new tool that broke open her research. Registration required.
Genealogy over Lunch is a University Libraries’ group designed to help individuals explore and organize family history. All students, faculty, emeriti, and staff are welcome.
