Learn to make delicious infused spirits using herbs and spices gathered from the garden or from a local supplier. We will create flavored libations that are spicy, tangy, or flowery using aromatic ingredients you can grow in Nebraska like apple, mint, jalapeño and lavender. These flavored spirits can be used to make magical cocktails for gifts, parties or gatherings of all sorts. Bob Henrickson with the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum has been making infused spirits for years and loves sharing his knowledge about plants and spirits with others. After this workshop, you will have a not only a tasty, but a well-known, way to extract a plants aromatic properties and a new appreciation for what simple ingredients can become.
