The Holland Computing Center has been selected to serve as a satellite site for the February XSEDE HPC Workshop being presented by XSEDE along with the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. The workshop will cover an overview of the current state of “Big Data” as well as the Hadoop file system and common machine learning platforms such as Apache Spark and TensorFlow. These lessons are taught by leading professionals in the field and feature plenty of hands-on exercises using the Wide Area Classroom (WAC) training platform so attendees can immediately begin using their new skills.
This two-day workshop is free of charge and will be webcast beginning at 10 am Central Time in the Milo Bail Student Center on UNO’s Dodge Campus.

Reciprocal parking for permit-holding NU associates from other campuses is available at Saint Margaret Mary Church at 6116 Dodge St. Daily parking is also available in the West Parking Garage for $4 per day.
