This presentation describes an online community of practice platform for K-12 CS teachers, called conneCTION. First, there will be an overview of the developmental considerations, including novel forms of content ownership, the issue of “dead links”, etc. Included in this will be implementation challenges, such as user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design and designing for high-latency low-bandwidth environments. Lastly, there will be a demonstration of the platform and its capabilities, namely content creation and curation.
