Enter the fascinating world of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), on November 20, from 1-3 p.m. in the second-floor collaborative space at the Dinsdale Family Learning Commons on East Campus. Whether you’re a GIS enthusiast or just curious to learn more, join us for informative talks by GIS experts, networking opportunities and meeting with representatives from the Nebraska Geographic Information Office (GIO), Nebraska Department of Transportation, Nebraska Department of Natural Resources, and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. They will be discussing GIS-related internships and job opportunities in Nebraska.

The event is free, open to the public and refreshments included.

The presentation topics cover a wide range of fields related to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and will be presented by members of the Research Partnerships unit within the University Libraries including Gabriel Bruguier, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Research Specialist Librarian, who’s talk is “Creation of the Yankton Sioux Indian Reservation: A Family History.”
