Assistant Director for Employee Wellness, Annalisa Davenport, will visit the Libraries on January 30th to share information about the topic of burnout. Jannah attended this presentation in December and thought it would be a helpful learning opportunity to bring to all of the Libraries, especially as we start a new semester.
In her presentation, Annalisa will discuss what burnout is, the symptoms of burnout, and how to identify if you or others are experiencing burnout. Effective strategies for preventing burnout before it happens will be shared, as well as strategies for handling burnout when experiencing it. We encourage all faculty and staff to attend this session to learn how to identify and prevent burnout in themselves and coworkers. We especially recommend student and employee supervisors to attend in order to better understand burnout and how it could affect their teams.
