UNL faculty, staff, and graduate students serving on a search committee are required to attend an educational seminar covering legal issues and university policies and procedures prior to reviewing applications. Although not mandatory, undergraduate students and community members serving on a search committee are encouraged to attend these educational seminars.
The seminar is a 60-minute session that covers the most common issues that arise during the search process. It also provides information outlining the process from start to finish. By completing the seminar, you will receive a two-year certification to serve on search committees. For accommodation assistance, please call IEC at (402) 472-3417 two weeks prior to the seminar.
To view dates and register visit https://nebraska.bridgeapp.com/learner/library?search=search%20process. Seminars are offered either in person or via Zoom.
