Dr. Stevie Munz will virtually join our Libraries Faculty and Staff on the topic of intentional communication.
For this workshop, we consider how to foster positive influence in our library work groups. We will examine our emotional intelligence, communication styles/strategies, and learn best practices for engaging work problems/conflict. Through examining our work cultures, you will gain transferable skills to create positive influence and action in the workplace.

Dr. Stevie Munz bio:
Dr. Stevie M. Munz is an award winning teacher and researcher with 12+ years of experience in the communication field. She has led hundreds of discussion forums, presentations, trainings, and workshops. Dr. Munz is the co-owner and lead Communication Strategist with Summit Communication Consulting based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. As a communication expert, she is passionate about developing your communication power skills. From public speaking to interpersonal, group communication, conflict workshops, and many more—-Dr. Munz can help you transform your personal and professional communication life!

This session is the second workshop in our 2024-2025 Connected Communication Development Series for the Libraries. The four sessions in the series are outlined below. All Libraries faculty and staff are invited to join any or all of the sessions! While this opportunity is optional, we would like as many UNL Libraries faculty and staff to attend as possible. This will help us all learn individually and as a group, align on communication norms, and support our collaborative work together.

2 Communication for Small Groups Informal Follow Up Discussion Session - Wednesday, December 4th at 1-2pm, in-person
3 Intentional Communication Workshop - Monday, February 24th at 1:30-2:30pm, virtual
4 Intentional Communication Informal Follow Up Discussion Session - Wednesday, March 5th at 10-11am, in-person
