Greetings Master Naturalists,
Fellow Master Naturalist Celia McConkey has joined forces with our partners at Bader Memorial Park near Chapman, NE to help plan and organize public naturalist events at the park. This is a great opportunity for those in Central Nebraska and state wide to play and explore along the central Platte. The first event is Bader Park Outdoor Family Fun Day Saturday, April 28th from 10:00 to 2:00.

There will be a variety of nature focused activities throughout the park for all ages, including geocaching, mudball planting, bird hikes, scavenger hunts, wildlife track activities, and more. There will be a fire and hot dogs as well. They have the 4H trailer so all of the supplies, directions, etc for the activities are there and ready to go. They would also love to have naturalists come out and lead and activity of their own, whatever they would like to do.

They are also looking for Master Naturalists to help this summer with weekend Naturalist programs Memorial Day through Labor Day. They would love to have Master Naturalists volunteer to provide a program of their choice on the weekend of their choice. Celia and park staff be there to help anyway we can and we can also help be sure supplies, copies, etc. are available for programs. Admission to the park will of course be free to NMNs volunteering to provide a program that weekend.
