Dr. Mauvais-Jarvis is Professor in the Department of Medicine, Section of Endocrinology at Tulane University Health Sciences Center and staff physician at the South-East Louisiana Veterans Affairs Health Care System in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Mauvais-Jarvis is a physician-scientist with a clinical training in Medicine and Endocrinology from the University of Paris V School of Medicine in France. He also holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Paris XI School of Medicine.
Dr. Mauvais-Jarvis’ research program focuses on translational approaches in cells, rodents, primates and humans to modulate estrogens and androgens actions with the goal of developing sex-based therapies to delay diabetes.
