Dr. Catherine Field is a CRC Tier 1 Chair in Human Nutrition and Metabolism at the University of Alberta, Canada. She is also a Registered Dietitian.
Her research program centers on the effect of nutrition on the development of the immune system and the role of specific fatty acids in the treatment of breast cancer. She is a co-PI for the large maternal infant cohort, APrON (Alberta Pregnancy Outcomes and Nutrition). She has published more than 285 peer reviewed publications, which have been cited more than 13,000 times and invited to present keynote lectures more than 215 times around the world.
Dr. Field served as a co-Director for the first 2 years of the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta.
