Do you want to consider starting a business? Could your idea eventually become a product or a service? Are you interested in bringing new perspectives to your research program? Consider applying to Nebraska Introduction to Customer Discovery (N-ICD), a campus entrepreneurship training program led by NUtech Ventures.
The free, non-credit training program is open to all faculty, staff and students within the University of Nebraska system. Due to limited program capacity, we will review your application and notify you if you are accepted.
The fall 2022 program is now open; please register here: https://go.unl.edu/nicd-fall-2022
We’ll be teaching about value propositions, stakeholder ecosystems, interviewing prospective customers, and more. You’ll get to interview people in your field and learn which problems are important to them — and then consider what that means for your solution.
Our six-week program includes group training sessions led by a national NSF I-Corps coach, featuring interactive course content and practice in small groups. It also includes weekly office hours with trained facilitators from NUtech Ventures, Invest Nebraska, the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) and the National Strategic Research Institute.
Our program is modeled after the National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps and is a key starting place for eligible researchers. Learn about three campus teams who successfully completed I-Corps after participating in N-ICD program: https://www.nutechventures.org/husker-researchers-join-nsf-i-corps-program/
