***This event is BMI 201. You must complete BMI 101 (offered in July 2022 or January 31, 2023) to participate in BMI 201**

Behavioral Motivational Interviewing (BMI) is grounded in behavior change counseling theories and is intended to support staff members as they navigate challenging conversations with students which result in student-driven change behaviors. While BMI 101 introduces strategies such as open ended questions, affirmations, and reflective listening, BMI 201 goes more indepth and offers interactive roleplay scenarios.

BMI training is most helpful to staff working in student-facing roles such as advising or student success.

Big Red Resilience and Wellbeing is offering this free 90-minute training to staff and faculty members.
