The Johnny Manhattan Orchestra is a 17-piece professional swing orchestra featuring the original arrangements of the greatest hits of the Swing Era recorded by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey, Les Brown, Artie Shaw, Count Basie and more. Performances are presented as simulated live nationwide radio broadcasts from 1940 originating from famous New York City venues featuring “The Toast of New York City, The Johnny Manhattan Orchestra” led by Lincoln trumpeter John Tavlin as bandleader “Johnny Manhattan.” The performances feature two professional vocalists, Natalie Tavlin as “Ruby Diamond, The Swingin’est Lady in All of New York City” and Kellyn Wooten as “Broadway’s Singing Sensation, Kellyn Kelly.”

This concert is FREE to attend in person or via live webcast, but registration is required to reserve tickets. There is also the option to add a donation to support the Lied Center.
