The presentation will focus on her dissertation work, the sexual pharmacophysiology of methamphetamine in females, where she uses rats as the model organism. She will also expand into previous work from her lab as well as the relevance of utilizing females as model organisms in substance use disorder research, a relatively novel practice.

Mott is a graduate student in the Laboratory of the Neurobiology of Addiction in the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology & Neuroscience at LSU Health in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her dissertation work centers on the intersection of methamphetamine use disorder and female sexual function.
