The Department of Sociology, Minority Health Disparities Initiative, and Rural Drug Addiction Research Center are excited to invite you to a jointly sponsored Lunch & Learn event entitled “Community Engagement Opportunities with NE Extension” presented by Dr. Jentry Barrett. It is FREE and open to public.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch and listen to a brief presentation from Nebraska Extension about Extension’s mission and statewide reach, examples of community-engaged research and creative activity, and how Extension can help you connect with communities across the state.
Following the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions on various topics, such as how to identify community engagement opportunities, ways to collaborate with Extension on community-based research, and strategies to approach community partners.
We hope to see you there!
