Anna Jaffe, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington, will present “A Peer-Focused Intervention to Prevent Drinking to Cope with Sexual Assault: Development and Initial Evaluation” at our February Seminar Series event!
Dr. Jaffe will present on an ongoing NIAAA-funded study to develop and test a web-based intervention involving personalized normative feedback related to alcohol and sexual assault. Created with a user-centered approach, this intervention is designed to promote social support of sexual assault survivors, from responding to an initial disclosure, to navigating social drinking contexts in the long-term.
Dr. Jaffe’s research is focused on responding to the public health problem of sexual assault and co-occurring alcohol misuse by improving understanding of survivors’ experiences and promoting recovery through novel interventions.
This event is FREE and OPEN to the public. Register Here: https://unl.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_ZCdfTkI0S-yeDQ7QAWBd_A
