Are you a fan of the Walking Dead and Breaking Bad TV shows? Did you read the Harry Potter books? Did you watch the movies Inception or Aliens? If you answered yes, then you will want to join us every Wednesday night starting February 26, for the Sci Pop talks that explore the science within some of the best icons of popular culture.

The talks will feature science faculty from UNL and Doane College. Examples of some of the talk titles include: “Chemistry to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse” with Dr. Raychelle Burks; “Alien Biochemistry in the Movies” with Dr. Mark Griep; and “Book 8: Harry Potter and the Magic of Science” with Dr. Rebecca Y. Lai.

Don’t miss these free and open talks sponsored by the University Libraries, UNL Department of Chemistry, and Doane College. Free popcorn and other refreshments will be available.
