Would you like to use databases to help you figure out your h-index? Are you preparing for a case for promotion and tenure and need to provide quality indicators? How do you find the most recent impact factor information for a journal? How do you articulate your research impact?
This seminar, led by Andrea Dinkelman, Science Librarian, UNL Libraries, will highlight some tools that will help you answer them. The seminar will cover:
- Determining your h-index based on Web of Science, Scopus, and/or Google Scholar
- Finding impact factors and other journal metrics to demonstrate journal quality
- Introduction to altmetrics, non-traditional scholarly impact measure
- Models for articulating research impact beyond impact factors and grant dollars
