Women and other marginalized groups don’t always feel safe in the places others feel safe and it has everything to do with other people and nothing to do with grizzly bears.
Drawing on a decade of experience guiding and recreating in Idaho and beyond, raft guide and fly fishing guide writer plus executive director, Emerald LaFortune, will discuss how communities come together to create more inclusive, healthy outdoor spaces. She will explore tangible tips for creating conversation and change to make our rivers, trails, crags and slopes more welcoming for all.
Free event. Co-sponsored by Campus Rec Outdoor Adventures, UPC Nebraska, and Women’s Center.
