Drag has a vibrant history in the LGBTQA+ community. From early Shakespeare productions, to Vaudeville, to the Stonewall Riots in 1969, to primetime television today, drag has offered an outlet to distort and express gender in a unique way.

The mini drag show offers new and returning students the opportunity to meet and have fun with other students and organizations around campus. It gives visibility to our community at one of the most widely attended student events of the year! Any tips from the show go toward our Student Support Fund.

Our Fall and Spring drag shows are open to the public and admission is always free. Tipping performers is encouraged and proceeds from the Fall and Spring shows go toward funding student travel to MBLGTACC.

Drag shows are co-sponsored by the LGBTQA+ Center, The Change, and Spectrum UNL (see RSO Page).

Signup for the Fall Drag Show is now open. If you would like to perform, please email lgbtqa.programming@unl.edu. Slots are allotted on a first-come first-serve basis. You must commit to performing by October 7, 2019.
