A weekly series on Friday evenings for UNL students to gather and enjoy a nearby activity or tour to sample and learn about the local Lincoln culture, neighborhoods, and people.
Meet in the Louise Pound Hall Lounge by 4:45 p.m. and the group will depart together to ride the bus to the final destination - the International Quilt Museum. A facilitator/guide will meet the group and lead the evening’s activity.
FREE to attend. Open to all UNL students with Event Pass.

THIS WEEK’s ACTIVITY:
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a traditional holiday in Mexico and Latin America. Families honor deceased friends and loved ones with music, feasts, and celebrations.
To learn more about this beautiful holiday, the International Quilt Museum is hosting a special event with three read-alouds of the book “Day of the Dead: A Celebration of Life” by Polo Orozco.
Additionally, there will be an art project for guests and families to decorate sugar skulls with paper, tissue paper, sequins and markers.
