This workshop will lead academic advisors and other student success professionals in reflective discussion about their work with students. By considering values, beliefs, and approaches, participants will begin to articulate a personal philosophy that guides their practice (or refine an existing philosophy to reflect their current values, beliefs, and approaches). This workshop will address the following NACADA Core Competencies: R1 (articulate a personal philosophy of academic advising) and R7 (engage in on-going assessment and development of self and the advising practice).
