Supporting the development of employees is a major role of supervisors, but sometimes it can unclear how to best approach this responsibility. In this workshop, we will discuss your role as a supervisor in the development of your team. We will also explore key behaviors and mindsets you can embrace to help employees grow.

Biography: Jannah Vanié is the Employee Development and Inclusion Specialist for the University Libraries. Jannah is passionate about helping people have a positive experience at work and grow personally and professionally. In her current role, she is responsible for building and running the Libraries’ Employee Development Program. She focuses on curating and creating impactful professional development opportunities for faculty, staff, and students. Jannah also supports diversity equity and inclusion work in the Libraries, as well as human resources functions and student employment.
