Great Plains Master Beekeeping welcomes Andy Joseph to this month’s Hap-Bee Hour Friday, August 9, 2024 to discuss Winter Preparation: How You Can ‘Bee’ Ready.

???? A fascination with bees sparked decades ago turned into Andy keeping a few hives in 2003…and then a few more. He and his family run Meadow BlazingStar Honey, a small bee & honey business. They live in Des Moines, Iowa and currently care for about 265 hives depending on the year and season. Andy also has served as State Apiarist with the Iowa Department of Agriculture & Land Stewardship since 2008.
