Extension Master Gardeners will teach how to achieve a proper carbon:nitrogen ratio, or “green” materials vs. “brown” materials and show you several types of structures that can be built or purchased for composting. You’ll learn how to construct a compost pile and discuss basic troubleshooting if your compost pile is not breaking down as it should.
At each program, two random participants will win either a composting thermometer or a composting bin.
Location: Pioneers Park Nature Center. Demonstration site is across the street to the south. Look for the Nebraska Extension banner.
These programs are free and presented by Nebraska Extension Master Gardeners, open to the public and require no preregistration. Please join us!
