We’re introducing a new event for all trail riding enthusiasts geared toward the recreational rider, time will be devoted to improving the horse and rider partnership and their ability to work as a team to navigate different obstacles which they might experience on a trail.

Do you and your equine partner trust each other? Learn how a trail challenge, like the AQHA Trail Challenge Program, can provide a terrific venue to enhance your relationship with your equine partner. Developing this partnership through an educational experience will help make riding safe, fun and more pleasurable.

The obstacles will be elective and assistance will be provided by AQHA Recreational Advisor, Larry O. Voecks in a clinic format where you can participate or just observe. Information on Trail Challenges can be seen at aqha.com/riding.

Prizes and support are being provided by Nutrena, Farnam,
B&W Trailer Hitches, Lincoln Financial Services, the Nebraska Quarter Horse Association and UNL Extension.

$5 Entry fee to “UNL Extension” is payable in advance (250 Main St. Chadron, NE 69337) or may be paid onsite. Pre-registration is required no later than Sept. 17 at (308)432-3373.

Nebraska State Park stickers are required on vehicles. Accommodations and stalls can be reserved at Fort Robinson State Park (308)665-2900. Parking instructions will be provided after participants register.

Event will take place south of the Fort Robinson buildings near the Ice Ponds, a registration site will open near that parking area at 11:45am.
