The Nebraska Forest Service – Forest Products Utilization Program, with assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources – Forest Products Services, is hosting a 2-day Lumber Dry Kiln Workshop in Plattsmouth, Nebraska on Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27, 2016.
This two day workshop will combine classroom lessons and hands-on learning opportunities for those interested in producing quality, kiln-dried lumber. Attendees will learn about the scientific properties of wood as it relates to drying as well as the technical aspects of drying lumber using an on-site dehumidification kiln.
It will have high value for the beginner as well as the experienced lumber producers and kiln operators.
