At this free workshop for 8th-12th grade teachers and after school program leaders you will learn how to engage your students in learning about the affects of emerald ash borer (EAB) on Nebraska communities and forests. You will receive the nationally recognized Project Learning Tree Focus on Forests curriculum as well as a kit of supplies (valued at $100) to help you carry out the lessons. The curriculum consists of lessons on how to measure forest and tree health, how forests are managed, forest fires, and invasive species. Your students will then be given the chance to develop a digital resource (infographic, poster, video, etc.) to be distributed by the Nebraska Forest Service. The development of a digital resource is required for all trained participants.
