Learn the current state and trends of woody invasion in the Sandhills and share your ideas to help win the war on cedar.

Dr. Dirac Twidwell, UNL Professor, will share research highlighting the cedar invasion that is coming for the western Sandhills. This invasion is causing ranchers in the eastern Sandhills big problems and there are things you can do to prevent this on your ranch.

Local ranchers will describe how they recently mechanically cleared cedars, used prescribed burning, or other techniques to control cedar.

Leading researchers from Oklahoma and Texas will share lessons they learned after decades of battling cedar and discuss how bad it is now and what would have been done differently.
