Michael Livingston will be presenting a laboratory safety seminar on Sept. 21 from 2 to 3 p.m. in 199 Plant Sciences Hall.
This talk will be geared toward those individuals who are new to the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture laboratories and new to laboratory work in general. New faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate student workers are encouraged to attend.
The talk will address General Laboratory Safety and Best Practices. Topics covered will include Building safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical storage, chemical disposal, chemical spills, laboratory equipment safety and use, and general application of best practices in the laboratory.
Capacity of 20 individuals in-person.
