Severe Weather Awareness Week: Sirens sound this Wednesday at 10 a.m.
This is Severe Weather Awareness Week and with this comes the second test of our buildings tornado warning system. The statewide test will occur this Wednesday, March 29th at 10:00 a.m. After this week, additional sirens will sound on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:15 a.m., usually thru the month of October.
If you are new to our Department, please take a moment to look at the Departments emergency action plan (EAP) and identify the tornado shelter areas in your building. Seek out the lowest level interior room or hallway, those away from glass windows and doors. If you have new personnel working with you, please take a moment during this test to show these individuals the locations of our tornado shelter areas.

During previous actual tornado warnings people would gather in 199 Plant Science Hall classroom and access local media for specific information related to this event.
