Richard Yi, Professor of Psychology and Director of the Cofrin Logan Center for Addiction Research and Treatment at Kansas University, will join us in-person for our April Seminar Series event! It will be held on April 10th at 1:30 PM CT in Oldfather Hall Room 430G. Dr. Yi will present on “Environmental Contexts That Impact Intertemporal Decision Making and Substance Misuse.”
The presentation will review associations between substance misuse and delay discounting and summarize factors that disproportionately impact underserved communities.
Yi’s research focuses include using behavioral economic approaches to examine decision and behavioral processes associated with health, with a focus on combined effects of valuation of rewards and the impact of time in addiction and relapse. He also examines approaches to remediate accelerated delay discounting associated with health-compromising behaviors.
This event is FREE and OPEN to the public. Registration is not required. This event is in-person only.
