Many faculty describe the mid-career stage as feeling trapped or in a malaise. This stage is often characterized by a lack of mentorship, increased service, and administrative assignments, and a lack of clarity regarding expectations for promotion to full professor and leadership opportunities. The purpose of this webinar is to provide academic leaders with strategies and tools that can help them support mid-career faculty by demystifying and clarifying how to reach the next rung of the academic career ladder. Additionally, discussing ways academic administrators can lead transformational enhancements to policies, practices, and institutional culture that lead to positive structural and systemic changes.
