This presentation will help employees develop greater confidence in their professional abilities, build self-efficacy, and overcome self-doubt, thereby enhancing overall performance and career progression. Staff looking to enhance their self-confidence, improve their work performance, and build resilience in the workplace are invited to attend.

Presented by: Michael Sandvold, Human Resources Coordinator

Biography: Michael Sandvold currently serves as an HR Coordinator in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to his role, he is honored to be the President of the Staff Council. Michael has recently embarked on a graduate certificate program in Human Resources Management through the College of Business, furthering his commitment to professional growth in the field.

With a strong passion for human resources, Michael believes HR is the backbone of internal customer service, consistently striving to support and empower employees across all levels. His focus is on enhancing organizational effectiveness while ensuring a positive and productive workplace culture.

Originally from Blair, Nebraska, a small town just north of Omaha, Michael now calls Lincoln home. Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, he enjoys golfing, playing sand volleyball, taking on home improvement projects (having purchased his first home in January), and actively contributing to the Lincoln Young Professionals Group Leadership Council.

Michael looks forward to connecting and collaborating with colleagues during this session.
