She will share her personal story and journey of navigating recovery from sexual assault as a college student, while also incorporating research on trauma, PTSD, and the far-reaching effects of silence.
Jake Dilsaver, Captain of the Special Victims Unit with the Lincoln Police Department, played an important role in Brittany’s reporting journey by utilizing a trauma-informed approach that helped create a positive reporting experience. Captain Dilsaver is committed to continuously striving to ensure LPD follows best practices in sensitive investigations and improving the experience for survivors.
