The Employer in Residence program enables business students to interact with employers through booths, presentations, résumé reviews and more. Students can learn about industries, internships, and full-time positions. A different employer is featured each day throughout the school year.
Employer Information:
The von Maur family opened its first store in the late 1800’s. The rented store was 20 by 50 feet, located in Davenport, Iowa. We have come a long way since that cozy shop. Today, 29 Von Maur stores are scattered across 13 states: Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York and Ohio; and still expanding. Our corporate headquarters and E-commerce store are still proudly located in Davenport, Iowa.
As one of the few remaining family-owned and operated department stores, Von Maur employees receive the benefit of working in a respectful, friendly, diverse environment that values teamwork, ongoing feedback, recognition, and exciting advancement opportunities.
