The Employer in Residence program enables business students to interact with employers through booths, presentations, résumé reviews and more. Students can learn about industries, internships, and full-time positions. A different employer is featured each day throughout the school year.
Employer Information:
In 1971, Five Points started as the smallest financial institution of six in Grand Island. It is now the largest of fourteen financial institutions in town. Since 1990, Hometown Banc Corp. assets have increased from ninety to over one billion. The two major contributors of our overwhelming growth are convenient locations and hometown ideas.
The very first Five Points bank was built at the convergence of five major roads in Grand Island, hence the name, Five Points. Over the years, Five Points has branched out to other locations in Grand Island. The Stolley Park (South) branch opened in 1980, the Diers Avenue (West) location in 1994, and the Eddy (Downtown) branch opened in 1999. In addition, Five Points Bank of Hastings opened in 2000, the Kearney location opened in 2003, the LaVista branch in 2011 and the Arbor branch within Omaha in 2012.
