A brown-bag session on some of the plants that will be offered at the April 21-22 Spring Affair will be held April 6 at noon in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Keim Hall room 150.
With Spring Affair offering the biggest plant selection for the region, this brown-bag is aimed at gardeners looking to the growing season ahead and thinking about new plants to add to their gardens. Bob Henrickson, Horticulture Program Coordinator for the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, will give a sneak peek at what gardeners will be able to find this year.
Henrickson promises ”some stunning eye-candy,” and plants to add to your wish list.
Anyone wishing to listen in can take part online at: connect.unl.edu/brownbag. The presentations are also available afterwards at arboretum.unl.edu/brown-bags. This is part of a brown-bag series on “all things green” sponsored by the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, UNL Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, UNL Garden Friends and Friends of Maxwell Arboretum.
Participants are invited to bring lunch or dinner, if desired, and ideas or questions. For more information about the brown-bag series, call the Arboretum at 402-472-2971, email arboretum@unl.edu or visit arboretum.unl.edu/brown-bags for this and future presentations.
