This year the UNL Gardens Walking Tour returns to the Earl G. Maxwell Arboretum for our monthly explorations. We’ll revisit old friends and make new acquaintances with recently installed plants. As always, we’ll focus on looking close and following woody and herbaceous plants through their seasonal changes.

The November tour, our last of the season, will meet at the Loerch Gazebo, one block east of the Dairy Store. We’ll talk about fall color and how plants prepare for the freezing temperatures of winter.

First Tuesdays, Noon to 1 p.m.

The tours are led by Emily Levine, special projects research horticulturist and former grounds supervisor for the arboretum. They are free and open to the public.

In case of rain, the tour will be held the following Tuesday.
