Spring 2017 student teachers seeking initial certification should attend Professional Development Day (offered each semester) for specific information on the education job search. Topics include: Career Services’ Husker Hire Link, Web resources for the education job search, education resumes and cover letters, interviewing strategies, establishing self-managed application materials, salary/contract negotiation, and Nebraska certification application. Professional Development Day is a release day from student teaching and should be attended by those who are currently in their job search.
