Dr. Sihem Boudina, assistant professor, Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes, and an Investigator in the Program in Human Molecular Biology and Genetics, University of Utah School of Medicine, will present the seminar entitled “Mitochondrial Stress: A Novel Thermogenic Pathway to Fight Obesity and Diabetes.”
Dr. Boudina’s research is focused on the pathogenesis of obesity and its cardiovascular complication. Her recent work has focused on the role of oxidative stress in the development of obesity and peripheral insulin resistance.
