Celebrate the launch of one of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s most significant global projects, the African Poetry Book Fund. Join us for a special poetry reading hosted by Kwame Dawes, the Chancellor’s Professor of English and Glenna Luschei Editor of Prairie Schooner. The event will feature six Nebraska creative writing graduate students reading selections from the APBF catalogue, as well as their own poems. Throughout the last five years, the APBF has changed the landscape of poetry, by publishing the work of numerous African poets, as well as establishing libraries in several African countries, and more.
