National Bat Appreciation Day is April 17 but we celebrate wildlife every day at Prairie Pines. Come and discover that there’s nothing scary about bats unless you’re an insect! Join us for some batty fun activities and help build homes for bats with the help of Master Naturalists. Ever wanted a bat house? Also, Prairie Pines welcomes the Latino community with Cultivando Outdoors Cultura! They will bring fun bilingual activities including a scavenger hunt and education stations. As with all Second Saturdays, trails are open from 8 am–5 pm. Children must be accompanied by adults. Sorry no pets.
