Started in 1993, International Migratory Bird Day is celebrated annually as a chance for conservationists, natural resource agencies, families and individuals to celebrate birds and bird migration. University of Nebraska–Lincoln biology scientists and graduate students will lead activities for museum visitors.
Activities will focus on bird migration and nesting grounds. Children and families will be able to track Sandhill Crane migration as part of an interactive game, learn more about bird research, and participate in a dance replicating prairie chicken behavior!
