Spring is finally upon us and it’s time to get out and do our part to keep Spring Creek Prairie the wonderful gem that it is! We have two opportunities coming up for you to volunteer your time and help maintain our tallgrass prairie.

On Saturday we will be cleaning up trash on the roadsides along Spring Creek Prairie. Wednesday we will finish cleaning up the roadside if needed, or tackle another project to benefit the habitat, such as cutting invasive woody species that are growing in the prairie.



For both events we will meet inside of the visitors’ center before heading out to work.



We will provide safety vests, gloves, trash bags, pruning shears, water, and snacks. Things you could bring: your own gloves, sunscreen, bug repellent. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, and long pants are a good idea.
